Spiced Pecans
Great as a happy hour snack, and also chopped up in a salad.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup water

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper powder

2 tsp. Chinese Five Spice powder

1/2 tsp. cumin
-
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

4 cups pecans

Preheat oven to 325ºF (165ºC) and grease a large baking sheet.

Mix all ingredients except pecans together in a large pot and melt togethern on stove.

When the sugar is dissolved, add pecans to melted mixture and stir until thick (about 5 minutes).

Transfer mixture to greased baking sheet.

Bake 10-12 minutes, remove from oven and stir in a bowl or pan before completely cooled to separate the nuts.
